Merry Christmas!
These kiddos were so quiet this morning. I didn't even hear them sneaking around. Too bad Santa wrapped everything so there was nothing to see!

Christmas Eve Tradition
The weather this year has set the record for the highest high and highest low for Christmas Eve for our area. I'm not complaining because I know what's coming (weeks and weeks for below freezing temps)! I'll take shorts and bare feet on Christmas Eve any time.
Being sick during school vacation is no fun.
Poor Sophie spent the first five days off school in bed with a fever. We found out it was pneumonia. No fun! Then she had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics. Double no fun! And trying to track down your pediatrician during the holidays is triple no fun. But we finally got her feeling better. I missed that happy face.

Happy Birthday, Rick!
He asked for a tower of donuts and Mellow Mushroom pizza for his birthday. We managed to make both happen. A very delish birthday.

Sophie's Baptism
I don't think this little girlie could have been more excited to be baptized. She wanted to do it as close to her birthday as possible. The first weekend after she turned 8 was super busy for us--we had two other commitments that day--but she insisted. So we managed to fit it in. The morning was beautiful. She kept the program really simple, which was a great blessing, and she chose beautiful music. It felt so peaceful and her happiness was contagious. I sure love her!
