It's hard to have a nice, uplifting day at church with a stressful calling, but I came home and found a new flower in the yard today.  A lone iris.  I'm grateful for little surprises.

This past week while we were un-plugged I got to:  hunt for fossils; go on a jungle safari; have friends over for lunch; write a book with my son; be a baseball star; be a soccer star; measure how tall everything in the house is; teach my youngest son the alphabet; watch my baby girl learn to roll over; find new flowers in the yard; lose a couple pounds; clean off my desk; enjoy life.

That is so beautiful! I'm sorry your Sunday's are stressful. I remember that.

WOW! I want your camera/talent!

Oh, yes. I had many stressful Sundays when I was in the Primary presidency. I can completely sympathize with you.

I'm glad you had a fun week, though!

I love iris. My Dad always had several rows of them growing in the yard along with his daisies, roses, lilacs, sweet peas, snap dragons, pansies, bachelor buttons, peonies, daylilies. and my favorites Tiger Lilies.

Why did you measure how tall everything was?

Aidan found a yard stick and just went around measuring everything.
