When I got up this morning there were at least 6 workers, a cement mixer, a dump truck, and a utility truck out back. By the time I ran down stairs and came back up with my camera only these two guys were still there. Something's afoot. I'm grateful they fixed whatever it was.

Hurray for people doing their job before you find out it has to be done.
This is nosy, but, is that an alley in your back? (I need to come and see it all in person so I'm not so nosy!)

No, it's not an alley. Just a regular road. I guess it's actually on the side--we live on a corner.
