Yesterday Rick called me from work and says "Don't rake the leaves!  I won a raffle!"  

This morning the Horticulture Club showed up and by the time I was back from running errands the whole yard was clean.  Yep, that's another dozen or so bags of leaves on the curb.  They even cleaned up the wood pile and did a little pruning.  I felt bad for them because it was sooo cold out, but at least Rick supplied them with bladder-busting amounts of hot chocolate and enough warm pizza to feed an entire football team.  The other faculty were envious because they had bought 15-20 tickets each trying to win the prize and Rick only bought 1.  I'm grateful for the Horticulture Club!
