And here's the little guy....
I visited my friend in the hospital today and got to soak up some day old baby goodness. We've only had Sophie for 19 months, but I had already forgotten the newness of a bundle fresh from heaven. Inhale deeply. Hold it for a moment. Now, exhale. Ahhhh. It's like the fountain of youth. His little face all scrunched up and red...the whole growing a baby inside you then bringing it into the world really is amazing. But, I didn't feel the need to bring him home with me. Nope. I just held him for a moment, stared at him for a little while, breathed him in, then gave him back. No longing. No clock ticking. Nothing. Then, as soon as I got home I wrestled my 3 monkeys into a big pile of hugs and laughing. I'm grateful for feeling absolutely content. And thanks N. family for letting me share your joy!
