Every year a new flower emerges amongst the weeds in my yard. I was thrilled to find this one. The colors are amazing in real life. I'm thankful for surprise flowers.
Hello, my name is Shauna. I photograph everything and everyone. I was formally educated in zoology as a wildlife biologist and ecologist but my current full-time occupation has me doing laundry, washing dishes, playing at the park, scrubbing toilets, cooking meals and packing lunches, kissing owies, helping with homework, building Lego castles, balancing the budget, mowing the lawn, planning picnics, cleaning up vomit, volunteering for the PTA, and booking the occasional vacation.

that's amazing, what is it! Looks like some kind of Lily, I wonder if your squirrels brought it in from someone else yard and buired it just for you.
I love it when that happens!
I think it may be an iris. Love the colors of it.
Awesome picture dude. I made me think of a tiger lily iris.
