227: A fishing pole for Valentine's Day

Photobucket
I bet you didn't know Rick gave me a fishing pole for our first Valentine's Day after we were married. Yep. One that I could take apart and stick in my backpack. And it didn't make me mad! Back in those days I would go up American Fork Canyon to a reservoir (I can't remember the name of it for the life of me) and fish for trout. By myself. I'm feeling relaxed just thinking about it. Sometimes I would catch-and-release. Sometimes I would bring it home to eat. Yummm. I'm grateful all 3 kids gobbled up their fish dinner tonight.

I remember another girl who wanted one for her birthday, and now she can't stand fish. Whatever happened to that girl so that she changed her mind.

Tibble Fork Reservoir? We've camped and hiked above there a few times.

Are you talking about me, Dragon?! I have NEVER liked fish -- in any form. I never asked for a pole for my birthday, though. Dad gave me one as a joke because he knew I couldn't stand fish or fishing. (That joker!)

When I brought dinner out Aidan asked what species it was. Ha!

I think it's relaxing, too. Do you fly fish, too?

I just don't like fish. I keep trying it...but I just don't. I love to fish but that's about it.

I like fish and I like to fish. Always loved going fishing with my Dad.
