269: The Best Primary Activity, Ever!

Photobucket
Our Primary president planned the best activity. Since it's the week before General Conference we had a get-to-know-the-apostles day. We met at a local park. Several men from church wore name tags of some of the apostles and had little activities planned that represented the interests of the apostles. One was a heart surgeon, so the kids got to play "Operation." One played football. One played baseball. One was into astronomy and art. One was a German pilot so the kids made paper airplanes. I can't remember all of them. The kids' favorite was, by far, canoeing with "Elder Scott." Aidan had a huge smile plastered to his face the entire ride.

I think it will be much more interesting for Aidan (and ME) to watch conference and be able to say, "Oh, he likes to canoe!"

I'm grateful for successful Primary events that are fun AND meaningful.

How cool! Did she make it up? Our Primary doesn't seem to do anything like you guys "out there."
