The advent calendar activity for today was to make luminarias for the front steps. Instead of sand we used epsom salt. It looks kind of like snow. Instead of paper bags we used jars. When book club came over they asked if I had read the book for this month (um...no.). I guess Jo and her sisters did something similar. Funny how things work out like that. I'm grateful for coincidences.

Cool! I never thought of using salt in my jars. I'm stealing that (when we live where there is no snow)!
This year I put white, clear shiny rocks in mine. The salt does look like snow. I like it.
cool. like both of those ideas, rocks, Epsom salt and clear jars. I'll have to try that the next time I stay home for Christmas.
