Too bad Rick was at work when we laid out the plan for our garden. There weren't any squares left for his beets. We might have to clear out more space for another bed with room for his beets. If so, I'm going to need your help finding ways to make them taste good. I'm grateful when my kids are excited about vegetables.

Cool. Where did you get those little pictures from?
I found them at the gardeners supply website in the pre-planned gardens section. I just printed the first page for whatever garden I liked, then cut them up to make my own garden plan. Each square represents 12"x12" and tells you how many plants you can grow in each sq. foot.
How fun! Plant your peas now and when they are done, you can put beets in their place. If you make a climbing system (easy) for pole beans, you'll get more beans and have more room for beets! I'm going to miss beets! I hated beets, like you, until I grew my own. That's a big garden, missy! I'm proud of you! BEETS!

I could not believe that the garden store at home Depot had no Fennel plants and NO fennel seeds either. Bummer!
