Anyway, I had to take the whole brood for Oliver's check-up. Luckily we were the first appointment of the day so the wait wasn't too bad. But while Oliver was getting his eyes and ears tested, the other two were going bonkers with the bouncy balls in the exam room. I'm surprised they didn't break something. Then, since it was Oliver's 4-year check-up, he got 4 shots. I think the whole building must have heard him screaming. The first one went fine. Then, I don't know what they did on the second shot, but, man, he was not happy. I've never seen such big tears. And we still had two more shots to go. His screaming only got louder. And on the way out the nurse told me he still needed to have one more shot before he starts school. Right. How am I supposed to get him to come back? We passed another mom as were were walking out. She sees Oliver then looks at me and says, "Shot?" I reply, "Four." She says, "Ouch!" and gives me a sympathetic look. He screamed the whole drive home and I had to carry him into the house. He limped around the rest of the day and his thighs were all red! Poor little guy. I felt so bad for putting him through that. I'm grateful for children's Tylenol.
Oh, we had a tea party, too. The boys loved it. I'm glad they like to play with their sister.

I hate it when they have to get shots. I have so been there!
I never had a kid who screamed when they got a shot, just a big, tall kid who would pass out when he got a shot they always had to be sure he was sitting down and not standing He wasn't really kid age wise. Sorry that Ollie had such a rough time of it. He probably tensed his muscles after the first one for the rest of them which makes it hurt more.
That is one experience I'm glad I only saw once with a niece. I was the one that wanted to scream, though. :( Poor Ollie. I wish they could invent another way to do it...
Love tea parties.
