077: Bend it like Beckham. What does that even mean?

When I look at this picture all I can think about is this from 3 years ago:

See him there at the end of the line? He'll always be my little boy. He's even wearing the same socks and shorts in both photos. I'm grateful for motherhood.

Oh and here's what I found out: "in FOOTBALL (your soccer) when a player is taking a free-kick in a potentially goalscoring position...the opposition will form a "wall" - a row of players - to block the shot.
beckham and some other players around the world have the ability to kick the ball so that it curves or "bends" around the wall and back towards the goal.
beckham in his prime was the master of this.....

Aww man. Slow him down! I always wondered what that meant, too. The younger picture has such great expressions. Makes me miss my kids.
