146: The brave explorer returns

Photobucket

Rick returned from 9 days in Costa Rica early this morning. The kids were so excited to see him. They all piled into the bed at 6AM and started poking him.

He brought me this wonderful cook book. I think he's finally learning. I really like cook books, especially quirky, regional ones. [I'll have to share my Cataloochee squirrel recipes with you some time.] What I like about this one is that the recipes are mostly simple with only a few ingredients. Local ingredients. It's fun to read. Yes, I like to read cook books. Anyway, check out this one.

Don't those look yummy. And only 3 ingredients.

Now, if only Rick had brought me some coconuts.

I'm grateful for the safe return of my hubby, and that he didn't come back with broken ribs like he did last time he visited Costa Rica.

Other than you are beautiful, creative, talented, young, and thin, sometimes I think you are my twin.

Glad he didn't get hurt or bring back scratchy yarn!
