I don't know why I am so drawn to this thing. It's oddly attractive to me. And I can't figure out how you got the different parts in focus, so I like trying to figure it out. Not that you care. :)
I have been on the lookout for one of these shells. I think there are 900,000,000 in our forest screaming all night, so I should be able to find one, right?
Hello, my name is Shauna. I photograph everything and everyone. I was formally educated in zoology as a wildlife biologist and ecologist but my current full-time occupation has me doing laundry, washing dishes, playing at the park, scrubbing toilets, cooking meals and packing lunches, kissing owies, helping with homework, building Lego castles, balancing the budget, mowing the lawn, planning picnics, cleaning up vomit, volunteering for the PTA, and booking the occasional vacation.

Interesting picture. I can't get used to them. You give me hope that you're thankful for them.
It's just the outer shell of one that shed.
My kids have been collecting them for Kaulani's cub scout collection!
