Strange looking pigeons, giant pumpkins, calf roping, piglets, hours old animal babies, midway games, pony rides, prize winning cakes, art shows, home brewed sodas, and so much more. I'm thankful the rain stopped so we could visit the fair.
@Afreaka--is a sideshow the same as a freak show? If so, yes. I was tempted to go see the mermaid woman that lives in a fish bowl. Didn't you go see one of those when we were teenagers?
Use to love to go the the state fair when I was little. We went every year and when they the had the big fireworks show. we'd drive up on the Rims to where you could look out over the fairgrounds. Black Otter trail was a great place to watch from. a windy road to the top of the rims. made for great viewing for everyone! Some times we'd go to the Rodeo.
Hello, my name is Shauna. I photograph everything and everyone. I was formally educated in zoology as a wildlife biologist and ecologist but my current full-time occupation has me doing laundry, washing dishes, playing at the park, scrubbing toilets, cooking meals and packing lunches, kissing owies, helping with homework, building Lego castles, balancing the budget, mowing the lawn, planning picnics, cleaning up vomit, volunteering for the PTA, and booking the occasional vacation.

Do you really have a sideshow at your fair?!
Love the bird with the ruffly feathers.
So cool. They look like you really went back in time. Great editing.

I did the BW using PW's Black and White Beauty action.
Great shots! I love the look on your hubby's face as he's watching your little girl on the pony.
