Oliver wanted to go out to Cracker Barrel for dinner on his birthday. I was reluctant to take them by myself (Rick's out of town) but, as I've said many times before, I can't say no to this kid. So out we went and they were all on their best behavior. When the waitress brought him a birthday sundae but forgot the spoon he was a little miffed, but managed to keep his cool. A few things about Oliver at 5 years: favorite color is orange (but secretly admits to still liking purple); favorite food is pancakes; favorite part of school is recess; favorite toy is Legos; hates nap time; I love it when he asks for his "glubs" (gloves).
