He survived the Klondike Derby
Aidan participated in an overnight campout and Klondike derby with the Boy Scouts. (Click here to get an idea of what it is, but imagine it with rain and mud instead of snow) Weather called for temps in the low 30's and 100% chance of rain. I worried about him all night. When he arrived home he was soaked to the bone as was all his sleeping gear, but he had a huge grin on his face. I'm grateful he didn't get hypothermia.

This Friday night Kaulani leaves to go on a campout in the 10 degree weather. They are sleeping under the stars without a tent, on top of the snow and I can hardly stand it! I am already anxious for him and so afraid he is going to freeze to death! I am hoping he comes home with a big smile too because I just know I will be up all night worrying!
Ah, the joys of being the mom of a Boy Scout!
