200: Fisticuffs in the nursery

Photobucket
Oliver gets brought in to me from his nursery class during church. He's bawling and I see a small swollen cut under his eye. Neither of his teachers saw what happened and he's crying so hard he can't tell me, either. We put ice on it and he continues crying until we get home. By then the cut is pretty swollen and purple. By evening, the swelling on the cut has gone down, but it looks like he has a little bit of a black eye. I ask him all sorts of possible scenarios, but he keeps saying "no, no, that didn't happen." It's not until about two days later that he remembers--the play kitchen attacked him. Actually, he fell on the play kitchen. I'm thankful cuts and bruises heal.

Now his eye has a nice yellow-black ring around it.

Awww, poor guy! My Grandpa called me "Blackie" because I had so many. I know I was never this cute, though.
