Spent today busy prepping for tomorrows birthday celebration. Aidan finally settled on a space-themed party. I had grand visions of pretty, colorful, swirled fondant planets orbiting a star-filled cosmos cake. Alas, time got the better of me, so he had to settle for black icing, star sprinkles, and plastic aliens encircled by gumball planets. Thankfully, I think I'm the only one who is disappointed.

What fun! Hope he had a Great Birthday. What a mean Mom making him wait until he was officially 7. What flavor was the cake?
The cake itself was strawberry, of course. The icing was chocolate, but Rick said he kept expecting it to taste like licorice.
