Day 5: Rick and the kids' first circus show. It was quite a spectacle. My favorite part was getting there a couple hours early to see the animals up close and interact with the performers on the arena floor.
I remember when we went to that Circus over by the mall in the tent. That was fun but the only thing I remember about it other than the tent, was Scott's reactions to the entrance of the elephants, and what the one elephant did on the way into the ring. Hahaha. That was all he could talk about for years.
Hello, my name is Shauna. I photograph everything and everyone. I was formally educated in zoology as a wildlife biologist and ecologist but my current full-time occupation has me doing laundry, washing dishes, playing at the park, scrubbing toilets, cooking meals and packing lunches, kissing owies, helping with homework, building Lego castles, balancing the budget, mowing the lawn, planning picnics, cleaning up vomit, volunteering for the PTA, and booking the occasional vacation.

Shauna, that was my favorite part when I took my kids to a Ringling Bros show, too.
I remember Scott talking and talking about those elephants!!!
I still need to take my kids.
I was telling Rick that I remembered going to a circus in a tent. I'm glad it's a real memory!
They had it over by the Garden's Mall. When I was little we went to the Shrine Circus every year. They always gave us free tickets at school.
