We had plenty of water, food, batteries, etc. Rick decided to fire up the generator to make sure it was working. He poured the gas in and the gas all ran out the bottom. Well, that wasn't going to fly. So he made a mad dash to the hardware store. Luckily they were just putting out a shipment of generators. Rick hopped in line and got the next to last one. Whew. I'm glad the university let him come home early today to make final preparations. They're predicting 80mph winds for our area. I'm a little stressed and anxious. Rick's work has been cancelled through Monday.

How come the burglars didn't steal your generator? I'm glad he got one! We haven't used ours yet. Carl has to start it every couple months to feel good about it, though. ;)
He sounds just like his brother! He also wrote out step by step instructions for using it! But I'm glad now that he did.

Actually we had it in our carport with the van blocking the way out. Now we've got it chained up.
