I feel like there were so many things I still wanted to do before we had to get back into the routine of school. Or maybe I just didn't want to send Oliver off for his first day of kindergarten. He was ready. I wasn't. Last night he got a little emotional but we talked about what he could expect and then he got really excited again. This morning before school my stomach was in knots and I felt so anxious. But it calmed as soon as I left him in his classroom. He knows many of the kids in his class from pre-K and his teacher is really nice. It's hard to let go. And Sophie kept telling me that we had to go pick up Oliver for lunch. I think she was missing him today, too.
